Rose Cottage circa 1940

Rose Cottage (Left) early 1940s. This cottage was lived in by the family of Robert Rose #2 from the 1880s, once he retired from the Mill at Ickleton, following an accident to his hip.

This cottage had been Copyhold, and was in Robert's wife's family, the Danns. When the last but one of Robert's daughters died in 1944, it was decided to sell the Cottage, and the proceeds were split between the living nieces and nephews.
